Sasha Sagan is the daughter of renowned astronomer Carl Sagan -- the author of the bestseller “Cosmos” -- and Emmy-winning producer Ann Druyan. She has worked as a television producer, filmmaker, writer, and speaker in the US and abroad. She is the author of “For Small Creatures Such As We,” an exploration of the marvels of nature, as revealed by science, which requires no faith in order to be believed. Sagan regularly speaks on ways science can inform our celebrations and how we mark the passage of time, inspired by the work of her parents. The Inverse magazine named Sasha one of their Future 50 -- a group of 50 people who will be forces of good in the 2020s.

Dr. Yi So-yeon is South Korea’s first and only astronaut. She was selected as an astronaut in December 2006, out of 36,000 contestants vying for the title of South Korea’s first astronaut. On April 8, 2008, she launched into space on board Soyuz TMA-12 for an 11-day mission at the International Space Station. Dr. Yi received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and her Ph.D. in biosystems from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. She received her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on Technology and Global Leadership at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. Currently, she works as the managing director of business development partnership of biotech startup Noul.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute is the state-run aeronautics and space agency, established in 1989. Lee Joon, who joined the agency in 2004, is the executive director of the strategy and planning directorate at the space agency, in charge of supporting domestic space development plans and taking responses to pending issues in foreign aerospace policy. After earning his master's degree in law at Chonbuk National University, he went on to attain a postgraduate diploma in law and legal practice at the College of Law of England and Wales in the UK. He went on to South Korea's Chonnam University for a Ph.D. in international law.

Lee Jun-won is a senior vice president at Hanwha Aerospace, South Korea’s No. 1 aircraft engine manufacturer, affiliated with Hanwha Group. Since joining Hanwha back in 1994, Lee has served in diverse key positions, including as head of the aircraft machine research and development center. He was promoted last year to lead the projectile business division. Hanwha Aerospace is the first private company to have participated in the launch of Korea's homegrown Nuri rocket, with more launches set before 2027. The company aims to speed up the commercialization of the space business in areas such as private satellites and spacecraft, as well as space transportation of key supplies.

Jung Hun is the chief technology officer at Innospace, a South Korean startup specializing in manufacturing small satellite launchers and offering launch services for clients. He leads the R&D division and oversees the development of small satellite launch vehicles. With over 14 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Jung, a former engineer at Hanwha Systems, the defense and ICT unit affiliated with Hanwha Group, joined the Seoul-based startup in 2020. He earned his Ph.D. in propulsion engineering from Pukyong National University and has published some 80 papers in aerospace engineering.

Bae Myung-hoon is a renowned science fiction writer. The winner of the Munhakdongne New Writer Award, a prestigious platform for new writers’ first full-length novels, is credited for exploring the science fiction genre in the Korean literary scene. He has authored over 200 novels, including “Tower,” “Launch Something!” and “Future Past Tense.” In 2020-2021, he also joined a research project on a human settlement on Mars, together with Korea’s Foreign Ministry. He made his debut as a writer while studying international relations at Seoul National University.

Dr. Eric Kim is an experienced data scientist and management scientist trained in the industry, academia, and government. He is the founder and CEO of Datacrunch Global, a category-defining leader in augmented intelligence software for daily business decisions. He is also an adjunct professor at the School of International Studies of Hanyang University, teaching digital strategy and entrepreneurship. He holds a Ph.D. in management engineering from KAIST and a M.A. and B.S. in economics from the University of Missouri.
